Sh2-282 is a reddish and dimmed diffused nebula floating around center of Monoceros.
The nebula has a size of 30×10 arc minutes in N-S and E-W directions respectively.
You can record the nebula on long exposed films fairly easily.
This nebula is contained in dimmed winter's Milky Way, there is much other nebulosity in the neighborhood.
