This wide field image with span of 22.4° in east west and 26.5° in north south has captured almost whole figure of the Orion-Eridanus super bubble (Sh2-245). A border between Taurus and Eridanus is crossing at center of this image horizontally. Left and right flames show you a colored and a reversed red-channel images, respectively.
Actually major region of the Sh2-245, stretched part in north south direction as displayed in previous page, has further extended nebulosity in southern part which has been divided in east and west directions and greatly curved. Maybe you can detect that the whole shape of Sh2-245 looks like a cursive letter of "i".
