This image has been captured a small emission nebula of Sh2-140 about 5 degrees north from zeta Cephei. The nebula has a size of about 10 arc minutes, it has a unique apparent shape of the crescent. We can recognize that a vast dark nebula is obstructing reddish emission nebulosity in background, the accidental arrangement of those nebulae have formed the peculiar and interesting shape. It's estimated that the nebula is about 2900 light years away.
