Abell 85 is a very minor supernova remnant in 3 degrees NNW from beta Cas. The remnant has a ring shape with its diameter of about 20 arc minutes, the southern part looks fairly striking compared with northern area. The remnant is extraordinary indistinct, difficult to capture on films or CCDs, you can see somehow the ring shape in right flame emphasized and reversed image.
