The autumn skies contain few bright stars, you may have an impression of empty comparing with summer and winter skies. But autumn skies have several splendid objects like the Andromeda Galaxy (M31). The Milky Way in autumn flows high up in the sky around the zenith at northern hemisphere. You can find a constellation of Cassiopeia around the field, uncountable fine stars are scattered and you can enjoy really beautiful views through binoculars. | ||||||||

I've added "SPLENDID !" marks in especially magnificent objects. Check those without forgetting ! And you can choose other 4 ways for browsing. Please use your favorite one as the need arises. |

Though almost all of those are small and very dimmed, some thousands of galaxies are included around the constellation of Cetus. And around the zenith, you can enjoy splendid deep sky object of the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) represents all objects in the celestial sphere. |

Open & Globular Clusters in Autumn |
To Preview of Star Clusters |
| Roughly speaking, autumn skies include open clusters along the Milky Way, and globular clusters in the southern region far from the Milky Way.
Open clusters are groups of young stars born in the galactic plane, while globular clusters are masses of old stars scattered in the Halo region far from the galactic plane. Many globular clusters in autumn skies are compact, but some open clusters in the Milky Way show you magnificent appearances like the Double-Clusters in Perseus. |
