Introduction

We naturally listen to songs in the order as they appear in the album.

This application can make a playlist where the order of songs within an album is held.

You can separate discs in an album if you want. You can also separate songs if you think it is appropriate. For example, in a "Greatest Hits." These settings will be saved. They can be saved in iCloud and shared with other your devices (need internet connection).

Playlists you made can be export in the iTunes format and can be imported into iTunes. This means that they can be used in your iPhone, iPad, or iPod where your music is synchronized to your Mac.

You can listen to your songs in this application. Playlist and songs you already heard will saved.

This application will try to search other albums in iTunes Store using artist's names in your playlists. No other information will be send via the internet.

The file "iTunes Music Library.xml" is used for importing songs from iTunes. It is required to check "Share iTunes Library XML with other applications" in preferences of iTunes.

The problem of failing to launch PlayingAlbums after adding songs to a playlist without adding to the library has been fixed. The setting for "Add songs to Library when adding to playlists" is no longer required.

The third-parties's applications are probably not allowed to play DRM-protected songs such as Apple Music, or songs managed by iCloud (not locally downloaded) in macOS. Now PlayingAlbums has been added a mode of using iTunes for playing those songs. PlayingAlbums never try to change songs or playlists in iTunes, but the state of playback state, such as a now playing song, will be changed.

Limitations

The undo function is unavailable.

You cannot choose a random song in the playlist.

Total number of play will be not synchronized with iTunes.

How to Use

Select a playlist from iTunes in the left view of the application window.

If an album has multiple discs, you can decide whether discs should be separated or not. You can also separate songs in an album.

Click "Show Playlist" when all settings are completed. When a new playlist is created, the settings are automatically saved. You can save settings manually in the menu "Save Settings" in the "File."

You can export a favorite playlist in the iTunes format. Export it to any place, and import it into iTunes in the menu "Import Playlist" of "Library" of "File."

You can play songs. Playlist and songs you played will be saved automatically.
