Notes
Released in May of '88 in the UK (August 21 in Japan), this is the first and only studio album Fairground Attraction ever released. Debuted at number three on the UK album chart, it peaked at number two (or number one on some other charts) when Find My Love was a smash. Japanese title is "First Kiss."

Fusing various styles of music like folk, jazz, country, and cajun, still expressed in pop and acoustic form. With the romantic and descriptive songs by Mark E Nevin and emotional and peaceful singing by angelic voiced Eddi Reader, The First of A Million Kisses is an essential masterpiece for any music lovers.

The time was full of techno/electronic music when Kylie Mynogue and Bros debuted. Dubbed as the acoustic revolultionist along with Hothouse Flowers, they had a big impact on especially UK and Japanese markets.

Lots of great moments in this album. Lovely A Smile in A Whisper joyfully welcomes you to their music and never gets you bored. Perfect is a la rockabilly and always sounds fresh. You can dream in fantasy with romantic Moon on the Rain. Eddi is as passionate as she can be in the heavily jazz-influenced Clare. Allelujah is the signature FA number, as beautifully played as you can imagine.

Do not look for other "best" selection albums if you're a first-time listner. This is the one you'll really need and cherish forever.
