Notes

Released in fall of '90, this is the only officially released collection of live performances by Fairground Attraction. This is from a tv show in Germany called "Live at Full House" and some other titles by other artists were also released at around the same period. The versions here can not be seen or heard in any other items. It includes eight tracks and an interview with Mark and Simon inserted therein. It was released in VHS and Laser Disc.

Here you can see Eddi playing guitar, smiling a lot and dancing around, and urging the audience with her shouts, which is how Eddi used to be in FA days. Mark E Nevin's guitar playing especially in Find My Love is excellent and it succeeds in igniting the audience who was rather unwarmed and polite.

A Smile in A Whisper is even better here than the album version thanks to the fancy sound of vibraphone played by Roger Beaujolais. In Walking After Midnight featuring accordion by Graham Henderson, Eddi and Mark dance together arm in arm. Roy Dodds' drumming on Clare is something else and makes the song impressive.

In the interview part (you can read the transcript here), Mark and Simon talk about their view on thier music and the music industry at the time, what the big hit of Perfect means to them, what Mark thinks when making songs.

In the last Moon on the Rain, urged by Eddi, the audience dances around with their partners. It is a very impressive scene. Wonderful Eddi exits with words "Keep romance alive"

As this is the only live video we can see, the entire content is a treasure, but Comedy Waltz and Falling Backwards (which I have never dreamed that they had done live) are real treats, because they were not played in Japan in their only tour.
