Notes
The second of the series of CDs with performances from BBC TV
program Transatlantic Sessions 2. This version is with Eddi's performance of Footsteps Fall. Eddi also does backup on John Martyn's He's Got All the Whisky. With Celtic/Irish artists such as Sharon Shannon, this CD has
more Celtic/Traditional feel than the first version.
Footsteps Fall is a Boo original which is on his latest album, Thanksgiving, and not on Eddi's until now, but Eddi has sung this song live at least in the UK(I heard so...). She did this song at Spitz Club (you can still see the performance here, and the setlist here). Eddi sings most of the time by herself, with occasional backups from Boo. Sounds of Mandolin adds to the intimate atmosphere of the performance. In my opinion, this version is as good as the version done by Boo & Clive together (that I saw in Japan). The members credited are: Boo Hewerdine, Aly Bain, Russ Barenberg, Tommy Hayes, Brenda Smyth.
In John Martyn's He's Got All the Whisky, Eddi's voice can be heard at the intro, and she hums on every verse after John's singing.
