I ever have visited in Gi5-lan5 {Gilaan} several times. Once, the person of the hotel told me there was the following characteristic pronunciation there: the dialect called "Gi5-lan5-khiuN {Gilaan-khviw}".
Although the dialect in Taiwan is generally divided into Choan5-chiu {Zoanciuw} dialect and Chiang-chiu {Ciangciw} dialect, but the superiority sound which doesn't belong either called Pu- Ciang5 Pu-Choan5 {Pud-Chiang Pud-Zoan} is actually the majority sound in the present condition. However the feature of Chiang-chiu {Ciangciw} dialect is strongly left in Gi-lan, and according to one authority, those characteristics are left at 95% of the rates. The person who told me such sound was a young man of past 20 years old, and I wonder if such characteristic sound remains from now on in the progressed mass media age. (Mar.16.2003.v1.0) |
