He had a preliminary license for KR8GV issued in 1968 under the administration of the United State at that time.
It took about a year to became a formal license for which KR8GV was approved.
His amateur radio license was exactly the one issued by the US government.
He enjoyed the operation of KR8GV until Reversion day, May 15,1972.

彼が予備免許を取得したのは中学生の時、私も1967年にハムを知り 1969年に電話級ライセンスを取得しました
当時沖縄には電話級が無く、最初から電信術を習得しなければなりませんでした
沖縄はアメリカの占領下、日本本土とは全く違っていた訳です
そんな話をVICさんとしたことを思い出します。

2021年5月30日（令和3年）ご逝去 ＳＫ
2003年　eQSO、EchoLink、CWComでお会いし英語を流暢に話され海外の局に無線の話題だけでなく日本事象、文化などを紹介されていた素晴らしいDXerです。
謹んでご冥福をお祈り申し上げます

Mr. Sang M. Lee/ K7MOK folded a crane using a paper of TIME Magazine
and gave me with his QSL card. Thank you very much , Sang.
