1. Prejudice to Esperanto

I read some books about natural languages, and I found common features among these books. The features are that Esperanto does not include the own cultures, but the natural languages (English, Japanese, Germans etc.) have their own cultures and they are superior to Esperanto. I do not agree these logic and get angry. The authors have misunderstandings and prejudices to Esperanto.

1-1 Mr. Machida's opinion to Esperanto

MACHIDA Ken, a Japanese linguist, descripts Esperanto as follows:

Esperanto doesn't have "progressive". Therefore, Esperanto estus iom malakura por japanioj. cf. "It rains now." and "It is raining now.", "When I came home, my family watched TV." and "When I came home, my family was watching TV.

He commented that other languages don't have progressive, for example, German and Russian.

I insist that the discrimination between progressive or not doesn't matter. (2011-05-05)

1-2 Dr. Shimura's opinion to Esperanto

Dr. SHIMURA Humio, a Japanese scientist, insists about Espernato as follows: (from "English for scientists, MARUZEN Library", p.3)

I have been a lot of countries and met a lot of people, but I have never seen people who use Esperanto, who could use Esperanto, and who would use Esperanto. I asked some of my friends in Poland, where Esperanto was born, but they didn't know about Esperanto.

Considering that a language is a part of a culture, I think that Esperanto has an intrinsic limit because it was an artifical language which was planned and regulated artificially. That is, the artificial language is "not living".
