同等比較での倍数表現を考える。
He ate twice as much as I did in the conveyor belt sushi. (その回転寿司屋であいつは俺の倍食べた。)
最初の as の前には倍数を表すことば（倍数詞）を置く。as と as ではさむ形容詞には、 much, many などのほか、big, large, long, strong, high などがある。
My cello case is around twice the weight my cello. (私のチェロケースは私のチェロの２倍ぐらい重い)
このような使い方、すなわち、倍数 + the + 名詞 の形で倍数表現ができる名詞には、age, height, length, number, size, weight などがある。
