Gabriel Urbain Fauré is a French composer. He was born on 12 May 1845 at Pamier. He died on 4 November 1924 at Paris.
Aaron Copland, who is a famous composer in America, says that Gabriel Fauré is a neglected master. It is said that Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel are the greatest composers in French, but Fauré's works are hardly known except a few pieces and his requiem.
Some composers and scholars point out the reasons.
