Fantaisie for piano and orchestra Op.111

Fauré seldom expressed anger in his music, but this work sometimes appears uneasy and unbalanced feeling. He composed it during World War I, and the war seemed to affect the work.

This work is like concerto for piano and orchestra, but movement is only one and not named "concerto". It has three-in-one (A-B-A') form. A is rather slow movement and B "Allegro molto" is fast, uneasy, and urgent.
