Clitocybe squamulosa (Pers: Fr.) Kummer

  Pileus 5-9cm  deeply depressed,   Stem 3-7cm  

  Fruit body is a little bigger than C. clavipes(ホテイシメジ), but the shapes and colors are resembling very much.. The spore is bigger than that of C. clavies. Spore shape narrowly dacryoid in side view (left photo), when spores are observed after accumulated on slide glass mounted with water (right photo), the shapes were rather ellipsoid because apicule goes downward. 

Habitat: In beech forests in leaf litter of higher mountain.

 Ohkayatake(オオカヤタケ)of "Mushrooms and Toad stools Pictured Book of Hokuriku (2005)" may be the same species.
