4度目のヨーロッパチャンピオン、おめでとうジェーニャ！
ユーロから帰って来た早々、社内で風邪を移されずいぶん作業遅れてしまいました (^^; 2005年1月30日 エキシビションの冒頭でマルトン氏が登場して『Art on Ice』を演奏。ジェーニャは後半21番目でマルトン氏のライブ演奏で『ゴッドファーザー』を滑りました。その後、イリナ、トトミナと滑った後に再び登場、トリは『Sex Bomb』でした。練習ではパーカーの袖を指先まで引っ張り上げたままで無表情にテレテレ流しただけだったのですが（ホントにつまらなそうだった (^^;）、さすが本番ではばっちり会場を笑わせてくれました。今回柵越えして客席乱入ができないのが残念だったけど。 2005年2月27日 ３ループが２回転になった以外パーフェクトな出来で見事挽回！ベストの演技とは言えないでしょうが、構成点もTR以外は８点台をマーク。ヨーロッパ選手権４度目の優勝を飾りました。 Total score: 227.14/Rank: 1st

"I have found the strength in my mind to win. It wasn't the hardest (earned) medal that I've won, but one of the hardest (earned). I'm not a 100 percent right now, and I was tired after Russian Nationals (in early January)." "I said to myself yesterday that I sould fight with myself and not with Brian," said six-time Russian national champion Plushenko who missed most of the early season with knee problems. "It's not the hardest one (victory) but my shape right now is not 100 percent. After the nationals I feel a little tired. I didn't skate my best performance today, but I skated fine." "It is not like the first time," he said. "The first time it was something new, something special." "I am tired this year because I have had a lot of competitions. For 10 years I have skated in a lot of competitions," he said. "I need a little bit of rest actually, a little bit of a pause," Plushenko said. "I said to myself, I should fight with myself today," Plushenko said. "I didn't want to compete with Brian Joubert or anyone else. I competed against myself." 2005年1月26日 ４回転でステップアウト、３Aの着氷にも若干乱れが。結果ジュベールに次いで２位でした。怪我のせいというより、ここしばらくハードスケジュールだったせいでたぶん疲れてるんだろうな、と思いました。十分明日は挽回可能と信じてこの日は寝ました。
