"The Altar" 42x63 in. Oil

Akitomo Tsuchiya was born and raised in the mountain regions of Nagano, Japan. He studied in Tokyo, earning his BA in Chinese Literature and his Masters in Chinese Philosophy. Inspired by the works of Andrew Wyeth, he pursued fine arts. After years of classic realism training under Steven Levine and Michael Coyle in Minnesota, Akitomo returned to Nagano to paint, where he currently resides with his wife and two children.
