Treaty of Peace with Japan
Signature of the peace treaty with Japan of the Allies was carried out in San Francisco peace conference on 8th 9 1951. On 19th Nov., Emperor Showa attests it, and on 28th November , deposits an instrument of ratification to the U.S. Since the Korean War broke out on 25th July 1950, the peace treaty with the Allies was urgently needed for them, then the peace conference with 52 countries was held in Opera House in San Francisco.
However, India , Burma , Yugoslavia of the Allies did not participate.
It was rejected although the old Soviet Union submitted the draft amendment, and 49 allied Powers countries except the Soviet Union , Czechoslovakia and Poland signed. A peace treaty was concluded separately from China , India and Burma.
A peace treaty consists of the preamble and 27 articles.
Chapter 1 is related peacefully that describes the conclusion of war and recognition of sovereignty. By article 6, Japanese stationing of a foreign army is accepted, and this is connected with the Japan - United States Security Treaty.
In addition, there is the declaration about construction of the cemetery for the people killed in the war of the Allies and the cemetery of monument for the Japanese killed in war were included.
