Parboiled Rice
009 Sri Lankan Parboiled Rice (Thambappu-Haal).

Now adays many gourmets can make curry of Sri Lanka without much trouble except rice preparation,
It is not enough to eat curry with Japanese boiled rice, If you eat Sri Lanka curry why do not you have those dishes with Sri Lanka style bioled rice,

I mentioned Sri Lankan boiled rice in my book " the Curry rice in the Southern Island ". Here I show you the preparation of Sri lankan boiled rice.

To boil rice
any kind of unhulled rice ( you do not need to prepare Indica type rice )       

(1) Unhulled rice must be soaked in water during several days. At this time, if water becomes dirty, please exchange it . If it soaks in dirty water bad smell will come out.

(2) When the rice absorb water fully, boil it in a big pan, Stir well -- like boiling spaghetti -- until it boils.

(3) Then the husk shall brken and open. Put boiled rice into a colander and strain the hot water..To dry the boiled rice put it in the sun. Those rice must be dried well.

(4) Then hull the rice. You can prepare hulled rice easily when you rub the rice with a wooden board etc.

How to boil and cook rice
(1) Cooking boiled rice is easy. It is same as that of ordinary boiled rice. However, the quantity of water is slight numerousness. It has boiled once, it can cook fast.
This type of boiled rice is not sticky.
