/ Kushimoto, Wakayama

We released an egg (3.3 x 2.2 meters) onto the Kuroshio Current at a point 35 km south of Cape Shionomisaki, Kushimoto, Wakayama Prefecture.

One of the possible destinations of the egg, drifting with the current, was somewhere along the West Coast of USA.

A month later, we received a telegram from a sailing ship indicating the spot where they encountered the egg floating by.

However, since then, we have had no information regarding the egg.
