From New Chitose Airport to Sapporo
- JR train
- Rapid trains( "Airport") run every 15 minutes. It takes about
36 minutes by rapid train.

- Limousine Bus
- It takes about 80 minutes from the airport to Sapporo city center.
From Sapporo to the airport, the operation of the bus is earlier than the
train in the morning.

- It costs approx. 13000 yen.
JR station is on the basement floor of the airport. Now JR Sapporo station
has lift on each platform.
The fees are not so different with JR train and Bus.
You can take a bus from the airport on the same floor as your arrival,
and there are bus stops in front of some main hotels in city center.
Choose bus or JR train in consideration of your luggage and your first destination(hotel).
Transport in Sapporo city center
- JR
- If you do sightseeing in Sapporo city center only, you don’t need to take
a JR train. But if you go to suburbs, like Shin-Sapporo (Historical Village of Hokkaido), you take a JR train.
- Loop line bus

- Subway
- There are 3 lines of subway in Sapporo. Each line has color.
Nan - poku line : Green

- Local bus
- There are many lines of bus in Sapporo.
If you go to Jozankei (hot-springs area in Sapporo), you go there by local
bus. And there is a special ticket for one-day trip to Jozankei.
- Covered Wagon
- "Sapporo Sightseeing Covered Wagon" has two courses.
Each course takes about 40 minutes.
- Velotaxi
- Sometimes you will see velotaxi in city center in summer.
You will see Sapporo with different sights from velotaxi.
- Taxi
- Now, there are some taxis which are possible that driver guides in English
for sightseeing.
- Street car
- Only one line in Sapporo between Sapporo and Susukino.
If you go to Mt.Moiwa by public transport, you take this street car.
