IX．Nightwish

現役女子大生をフロントに立てた，フィンランド産のハード&メロディアス・ロック・バンドです．Holopainenのシンフォニックな作品をSibelius Academyで教会音楽を専攻しているTarjaがオペラ風に歌い上げ，フィンランドの国民的バンドまで成長しましたが，2005年10月21日に突然Tarjaを解雇し，その手紙をインターネット上に公開していました（http://www.nightwish.jp/news/lettertotarja.html）．Tarjaの後はAnette Olzonが新しいヴォーカルとして迎えられ，新生Nightwishがスタートしました．
