Murin-an garden, Kyoto(22, Octorber, 2005)
I visited Murin-an garden which is located near Manzen-ji temple. The owner of this garden was Aritomo Yamagata who was one of the top politicians in the Meiji Era. The gardener of this garden was "Ueji". The water for steram and ponds of this garden is provided from Lake Biwa Canal. Ground cover plants for open area is lawn and that for under woods is moss.
