Mt. Hieizan, Kyoto(5, May, 2003)
Mt. Hieizan (about 850m) is located in the north east of Kyoto city. There is Enryaku-ji, one of the two big temple, on the mountain.
I climbed the mountain by the Ei-den, a cable car and on foot.
It was hot day. Fresh green and blossoms (cherrys, rhododendron and herbs) were beautiful. I also enjoyed watching song birds.
I downed the mountain to Shu-gaku-in on foot. It took less than 2 hours, but I was very tired because of high pace.
