Aya laurel forest, Miyazaki (31, October, 2004)
An academic conference was held in Miyazaki, Kyoushu. I also visited Aya laurel forest, one of the most famous laurel forest in Japan, as a field trip of the conference. Although it was rain in the morning, I enjoyed plants and landscapes of well established laurel forest. We could also see several effects of typhoons. Leaves and branches of trees were fallen by the wind, and density of the leaves was half of usual.
