Ill-will is the same as anger. It arises due to the unwise attention to the unpleasant aspect of an object. It is discarded due to wise attention to the perception of either impermanence, unsatisfactoriness, or soullessness or to the development of lovingkindness. It is totally eradicated by the path of Anagama.
