How to travel with baby in Japan

How to get milk and hot water

If your baby is not breast feeding, usually you must bring a heavy pot filled with hot water.
I hate bringing this kind of heavy stafs during journey.
Usually in Japan, I do not bring so many stafs. Because it is not so difficult to get hot voiled water for milk.
Let's see how you can get hot water and find some public spaces for baby care.

At City Center
If you go around a city center, like Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, Sapporo and so on, you can easily find some spaces for baby care in department stores.
Usually  they are on the same floor at shopping places for baby goods. Some modern stores have nice such kind of spaces where you can chenge naps and use fresh hot water. They sometimes have some separated places for only ladies, where you can giveyour baby breast feeding.
You may not have to pay for just using such kind of spaces except for buying naps or baby foods.
Conversely, even if you forget to bring naps or hapen to use away anything of baby care goods, you can buy some such kind of stuffs soon there.
(But be careful! It is much more expensive comparing with buying them at supermarkets.)

At countrysides
If you go around countrysides, you can find same kind of places at shopping mols.
But usually this kind of shopping mol is located at far from railroad satations. Peaple living in countryside usually go shopping by car, so if you are traveling with rental car, prospecting a shoppping mol will help you.

But anyway, try asking. I am sure that big hotels, restaurants, convenience stores will be happy to help you.
