    Daiki Amanai currently works at SCCS, Aoyama Gakuin University. He researches aesthetics and architecture in modern Japan from the perspective of the history of thought. His debut publication in English and the dissertation cover Bunriha Kenchiku Kai, a modern architectural movement in the 1920s. His current interests encompass museums as a form of urban identity, models and maps within museums, and the industries and disasters that cities commonly experience, as well as teaching the history and thought behind design. The latest English paper is “Aesthetics in a Renovated City: Historical View of Mundane Cityscape in Modern Japan”.
