Rory should be 'not in condition'. His vocals and guitars often went out of tune, misplay and stall. He played The Loop twice in a show. But he played Proud Mary! Good recording from soundboard (? not sure), but some jumps in digital source. I think the possibility that this show was not in Hamburg 15-Nov-1987 but in Hamburg 17-Aug-1989. This argument of mine came from Gerry McAvoy's book episode "Rory did The Loop twice in a show of Hamburg 1989". (See Riding Shotgun page 249. Thank you my friend 'nero' for pointing the page.) Another evidence is that Rory rarely did Proud Mary, but he did in another occasion of a festival Mildenhall 05-Aug-1989, closer date to Hamburg 17-Aug-1989.
ロリーは調子が悪かったようで、歌もギターも音程外しまくりのうえ、時々弾き間違えて音が止まる。「The Loop」を2度やったりもする…。この「The Loop 2度弾き」エピソードはジェリー・マカヴォイの本「Riding Shotgun」に「1989年ハンブルクでのこと」として書かれており、この音源の日付は間違いで、実際は1989年8月17日だった可能性がある。珍しく「Proud Mary」を聴かせてくれるのもまた私の論拠。というのは、ロリーの音源で「Proud Mary」は他に1回だけ、1989年8月5日、Mildenhallのフェスティバルの中に見つかるからである。サウンドボード録音？のようで音は良いのだが、音源の状態はあまり良くなく何箇所か針跳びがある。 |
