Short Project Description

The main theme of the eX...it!'07-festival is: Local-Global. 
How far does a once local art form like Butoh dance change by its
worldwide spread?  And how deep is the influence that
Contemporary/Modern dance and Butoh have on each other? 

The planned project has 6 parts.
1.	The Work Forum:
1.1.	Exchange of experiences between professional choreographers and
dancers through training and mutual lessons
1.2.	Collection of choreographic ideas to create a final public dance
performance (like "pictures at an exhibition") using the entire site of
schloss broellin
2.	The Workshop Camp: pure training lessons for amateurs and
professional dancers that will run on for five days
3. The Symposium: an academic and philosophical reflection on the
ongoing work and the visible results of the work forum and final
presentation with the theme: メThe Global Body " Expansion of an ideal
idea - A meeting of Dance and Philosophy"
4.	Staging and Presentation: the highlight for the public will be two
spectacles involving all choreographers/dancers and Work-Camp
participants, accompanied by live music, fine arts and video/ multimedia.
5.	Documentation: a resume consisting of interviews, photos, videos and
a catalogue will be produced as documentation for the festival.
6. An optional guest performance festival in Szczecin (Poland) and
Berlin (Dock 11) will present performances and self-productions of the
invited choreographers/dancers.
