1825〜28年、太平洋、ベーリング海峡の調査を目的としたブロッサム号の艦長ビーチーによる

航海記録。1827年（文政10）琉球に来航し、那覇に寄港、10日間の滞在し、交易状況、住民

の宗教、生活習慣、法律、金銭、武器、刑罰、産物、気候、王朝の歴史などについての記述

を残している。滞在中、王府は牛、羊、豚などの食糧を提供している。「那覇港の眺め」「琉球

	の墓地」「住民の男女」「北京への朝貢に向かう日本のジャンク船」などの全頁大図版を含む。
