Jami Masjid (Friday Mosque) in Delhi, 1650-56.
The prayer hall stands sculpturally as if it were an independent building.
The courtyard looks like a plaza such as San Marco in Venice rather than a courtyard.
Imposing three domes over the oblong worship hall was the definate form of the Indian-type mosque.
