９８.Y字路の地蔵菩薩２〜冥界と現実界の境〜

４月から初夏にかけて、このY字路の地蔵にほぼ正面から朝日が射し込んでくるシーズンが
ある。
地蔵菩薩の信仰はもともと冥界と現実界の境に立って人々の安全を守護するという意味を持
つ。
朝日に照らされる地蔵を見ているとまるでここが運命の分岐路であるかのような錯覚にとら
われてしまう。
いつもこの地蔵には新しい花が供えられている。
時代が変わっても信仰心は永々と受け継がれているのだ。

98. The Jizo Bodhisattva at the Y Junction: part 2
~ The border between the underworld and the real world ~

From April to early summer, 
we have the season in which the morning sun bathes just about in front of these 
Jizo at the Y junction. 
Originally, the Jizo Bodhisattva faith means the Genius that stands at the border
 between the underworld and the real world. 
Looking at the Jizo lit up in the morning sun, they give me the illusion that this
 would be the fork road of fate. 
Old flower offerings are never seen for them. 
Even as the time flies past, the belief will be succeeded even though time marches 
forward.
