９４.ペットボトルのオブジェ

最近はどの住宅街でも見かけるペット避けのペットボトル。
いくらネコの街阿佐ヶ谷といえどネコ嫌いの人もいる。
しかし、この水入りペットボトル、光の反射にびっくりしたネコが逃げると言うのだが
本当に効果があるのだろうか？
それより陽射しにキラキラして不思議な飾り物のようだ。
犬のふんもそうだけど土の庭や生け垣が無くなった分、
こんな無機的なものを玄関先に置いて「有機物」を排除しなくちゃならない時代って
やっぱりどこか無理がある。

94. The Shimmering of Plastic Bottles

Nowadays the plastic bottles that keep away pet animals are very familiar in the
 residential area. 
Even if Asagaya is a town of cats, some don’t like them. 
However, they say that the reflection of light from the water in the plastic
bottles could frighten cats and make them away run away, I wonder whether it 
really works or not. 
On the contrary, they look like wonderful ornaments glittering in the sunlight. 
As well as dog droppings, since we can’t own as many gardens and the hedges as
 before, 
it appears to me that it is strange to clear away living things by using such dead
 matter.
