９３.暗渠上のガーデニング

無粋な暗渠上の一角。
車止めに鉢植えの花がたくさん置かれているのをみつける。
誰が始めたかは知らないけれど、至る所に即席のミニチュア小庭園が発生中。
広い庭のある家が少なくなってきた分、こんな人工的なガーデニングがはやるのだろうか？
ペットボトルでネコや犬を追い払う一方で一生懸命手間をかけて植物を育てる。
広い庭がたくさんあった３０年前の阿佐ヶ谷では想像も出来ないこと。
ここまで来ると滑稽だよね。

93. The Gardening Over the Underdrain

A tasteless corner of the underdrain. 
I find many flower plants putting in the parking spot. 
Small improvised gardens are increasing here and there. 
I don’t know who started that, though. 
Since houses with wide gardens are disappearing, 
have such artificial gardens became popular instead of real ones? 
Do they treasure their plants on the other hand even they keep away dogs and
 cats by placing plastic 
bottles there? 
As compared with 30 years ago when there were still large gardens in the town, 
it’s ridiculous to do that, isn’t it?
