７７.馬橋の聖域

馬橋稲荷神社１〜赤い鳥居〜

かつて阿佐ヶ谷の東側、高円寺との境には馬橋といわれる地名があった。
神明宮ほど目立つ神社ではないけれど
住宅街の中に忽然と現れる稲荷神社がある。
馬橋の名を受け継いで小さいスケールながら「聖域」を守ってきたお稲荷様だ。
冬晴れの午後、人気のない境内に木漏れ日が射し込んでくる光景は神々しさを
増幅させる。

77.Sanctuary in Mabashi
Mabashi Inari Shrine part 1: -The Red Torii-

Once there was a place called "Mabashi" at the boundary between the east 
part of Asagaya and Kouenji.
There is an Inari shrine that isn't as noticeable as Shineigu in the 
residential area.
It's the shrine　that has succeeded to the name, Mabashi, 
and protected the sanctuary though it is small.
Sunlight filters down through the trees in the empty precinct in the fine
 winter afternoon.
