７３.遊歩道のひまわり

１９９８年の夏は天候が不順でひまわりも元気がなかったよう。
この遊歩道の真ん中に植えられていたひまわりも下を向いていた。
下の葉は虫に食われ、
植物にとってはちょっと気の毒な年だった。
ひまわりに限らず、季節外れの花が街のあちこちで
咲いていた気がする。
来年は夏らしい夏が来てほしいね。

73.Sunflower in Promenade

A sunflower looked depressed because of the unseasonable weather in the summer of 1998. 
The sunflower planted in the middle of this promenade faced down.
Lower leaves had been consumed by insects. 
It was a slightly pitiable year for the plant.
Not only a sunflower but flowers out of season were blooming here and there in the town, 
as I remember.
I wish normal summer would come next year.
