７２.歩道に描かれた地図

レンガ畳の歩道に阿佐ヶ谷周辺の地図が埋め込まれている。
すぐ横には小さなマンホールのようなものが。
よく見ると杉をデフォルメした絵が描かれている。
名称を「すぎまる」といって
杉並区の道のいたる所に同じようなマークが記され、一種の道標のような役目を果たしている。
でもこのデザイン
杉というよりイカに見えてしまうのはご愛嬌でしょうか？

72.Map Drawn on Sidewalk

The map around Asagaya is embedded in the brick sidewalk.
You can see something like a small manhole closely from it.
Since I looked at the "small manhole" carefully, I found the picture of 
a deformed cedar drawn. It is called "Sugimaru", which is a kind of guidepost, 
and the same marks are drawn everywhere in Suginami ward.
As for its design, it looks like a squid rather than a cedar. 
Isnt't that winsome?
