６７.デゴイの犬

最近、道端で急にでかい犬に出会し、びっくりする時がある。
よく見ると造りものの犬。
店や家の玄関にどっしり構えている。
ディスプレイのつもりなのか
はたまた番犬の代わり？
たしかに吠えないし、散歩も必要ないし、餌もいらない。
手間はかからないけどなんか、妙である。
逆にネコの造りものは見たことがない。
まあ、本物のネコはあちこちうろうろしてるけどね。

67.The Imitation Dog

Recently, a big dog sometimes surprises me suddenly at the roadside.
Looking carefully, I found it an imitation. 
It stands in front of a house and a store with dignity. 
Is　it as a display or as a watchdog? 
Surely it doesn't bark, need a walk or any food, either. 
However, while there's no time or trouble to care, I feel something strange about it. 
Conversely, I've never seen an imitation cat. 
Real cats wander here and there though.
