66.街角の井戸(2)

こちらはつい最近、掘られた井戸。
阪神大震災後、ライフラインの断絶の事態に
井戸の有効性が認められたため、各自治体が
学校や公園に防災のための井戸をたくさん設置したのだ。
新しい分、青くてきれい。
だが、出てくる水は古い井戸と同じ。
やはり、そのままでは飲めない。
便利になったのか、不便のままなのか複雑な思いである。

66. The well at the Street Corner (2)

 Here is the well which was recently dug up. 
 After the Great Hanshin Earthquake, each self-governing body set up many wells 
in schools and parks for measures to prevent disasters, as the validity of a well 
for those situations that lacked a lifeline was accepted. 
It's clean and blue as it's new. But the water that comes out is the same as an old well's. 
It isn't fit to drink, either. Is it convenient or inconvenient?
That is a complicated question.
