３１.五叉路の尖塔

北５丁目の五叉路にあった
プロテスタント系キリスト教会の尖塔。
確か、鐘が中にあったのだけれど、
その音を聴いたことがなかったな。
隣接する礼拝堂はとても荘厳で
ステンドグラスも綺麗だった。

この尖塔も礼拝堂も今は取り壊されて
新しい建物になってしまったけれど、
昔ほどの威厳がなくなってしまったのは寂しいね。

31.The Steeple at the Five Crossings

There was a steeple of the Protestant Christian church at the Five Crossings 
in North 5 chome. 
I thought there was a bell inside the building, but I have never heard it ringing.
The chapel that adjoins it was very solemn, and the stained glasses were also 
beautiful. 
They have been pulled down, and have been remodeled into a new one, but it is sad
that the dignity is not as it used to be.
